GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musiche composte ed interpretate da Oskar Sala. Il fisico Tedesco, compositore e pioniere della musica elettronica aveva inventato nel 1952 l'antenato del moderno sintetizzatore chiamato Mixtur-Trautonium. La sua musica con suoni tanto innovativi per quell'epoca gli procurò ammirazione e richieste per concerti  nel mondo, composizioni per film importanti come " Il Sepolcro Indiano " di Fritz Lang o effetti elettronici come nel film di Alfred Hitchcock " Gli Uccelli ". Le tracce si susseguono senza interruzione l'una dopo l'altra così non posso descriverle una ad una : rischierei di confondermi con i loro titoli. La cosa che più mi ha sorpreso è l'ascolto affatto impegnativo e godibile. Nel primo lato regna principalmente un'atmosfera di suspense con ritmi incalzanti talvolta violentati da acuti elettronici che sembrano rasoiate taglienti. Un brevissimo parlato dal trailer del film dove le uniche parole che ho capito sono " Edgar Wallace ", un mini accenno di elettro-bossa, sincopature e rapidi cambi di ritmo. Nel secondo lato una splendida elegia all'acqua con interessanti soluzioni sinfo-elettro-sperimentali. Come in " Bergab zum Großen Wasserfall " dove sono riprodotti suoni e rumori dei vortici dell'acqua dalla cascata. Veramente composizioni di alta qualità !

Notes : music composed and performed by Oskar Sala. The German physicist, composer and pioneer of electronic music in 1952  invented the precursor of the modern synthesizer called Mixtur-Trautonium. Through his music from the innovative sound for that time he won a great admiration admiration and many requests for concerts in the world, compositions for important films such as " The Indian Tomb " by Fritz Lang or electronic effects as in the film " The Birds " by of Alfred Hitchcock. The tracks follow each other without interruption one after the other so I can’t describe them one by one risking to fall into error with their titles. The thing that surprised me mainly is the listening at all challenging and enjoyable. In the first side mainly prevails an atmosphere of suspense with pressing rhythms sometimes raped by electronic razor-sharp high notes. A brief talk from the trailer of the movie where the only words I understand are "Edgar Wallace", a mini hint of electro-bossa, syncopations and quick changes of rhythm. On the second side a beautiful elegy to the water with interesting sympho-electro-experimental solutions . As in " Bergab zum großen Wasserfall " wherein are reproduced sounds and noises of  water turbulence from the waterfall. Really high quality compositions !

Der Fluch der gelben Schlange : un bel documentario di breve durata sulle acque che ci circondano. Produzione Svizzera, regia di Rob Gnant e Alexander J. Seiler.
