Artist: OSCAR PETERSON QUARTET
Title: “The Oscar Peterson Quartet”
Label: VERVE. Label is flat black with DSM “trumpet player” logo. Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl, with deep groove. Catalog number is V-8072.
Year: 1951 session originally issued on CLEF. mid 1950s issue.
Personnel: Oscar Peterson – piano; Herb Ellis – guitar; Ray Brown – bass.
Note: This album comes from an extremely well cared-for jazz collection where the original owner cherished his albums, played them once or twice at most, and stored them under optimal conditions. There will be some nice opportunities for the collector who insists on mint condition.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, has been played a very small number of times, most likely once or twice, and handled with care. Plays flawlessly with superb fidelity. Labels are clean and pristine.
JACKET: EXCELLENT. Nice bright artwork, clean white reverse, seams and corners are excellent. Minor traces of ring wear are beginning to appear on reverse. Overall a beautiful item.
