Orphann was from Kansas City, Missouri and formed by brothers Kevin and Lance Mellenbruch. Two privately pressed LPs and two non-album singles were put out on their own record label during their tenure.

Musically, hard rock, guitar, harmonies with great AOR songs. Although they probably never made it outside the club circuit and occasionally as an opening act for some of the more well-known groups playing the big venues and festivals, they never got the kudos they deserved.

This was their first album. "Morning Sun" makes the AOR wonder list.
