Description
Before I descibe this item, you will notice that I have just started on Ebay as a new user.
A lot of Ebay members will know of my other existing username AUTOGRAPHSANDTICKETS. Please feel free to check my feedback on this username for assured bidding. I do not sell printed signatures or fakes and all items are sold with full money back guarentee.
You are bidding for what has been described as 'a superb example of The Beatles autographs and 100% genuine' by a leading North West of England dealer. This item was also offered to a North West Beatles memorabilia dealer by the owner who was offered a low price given the quality and also prices being asked on the internet for such examples by this seller.
Anyway that being said, this is the item listed.
It is a Parlophone promo card roughly 8 x 6 in size. This original issue is very rare without autographs in its own right.
The card is a little creased, although not as bad as the scan shows.
All four members have signed in a bluey green biro. Ringo's autograph is very clear, although the scan may not show this up too well.
The bottom right hand corner has the inscription 'June 1963 at Southern Sporting Club, Manchester' neatly written in red biro. This is the venue that the autographs were obtained by the original owner.
The owner, a former England footballer, later became a famous singer in the early sixties and played clubs up and down England.
He played on the bill with the Beatles and obtained these autographs personally. Indeed, he will provide a signed covering letter with his full name and address to the winning bidder.
Authenticity is very important with this item. So included, beside the letter from the original owner is a letter from Christies in London that authenticated the item and offered to place in an upcoming auction on 29th September 2004. The special delivery envelope, original letter and official compliment slip are all supplied with the item to the winning bidder. Please note, the letter has some doodling on it, this is percentages and charges that were inscribed by the original owner after being given a quote of valuation fees and charges from Christies. Christies, by way of Helen Bailey had quoted a sale price of £4000 - £6000.
The owners name and address are inscribed on the envelope and the Chrsties letter. These will ONLY be given to the winning bidder for reasons of privacy.
Condition generally is excellent, indeed one of the best examples I have seen for sometime. It has been laminated for safe keeping by the owner. This does not detract from the condition. This can be removed if you so desire.
There is a modest reserve on this item given its rarity. It will come with a full money back guarentee and will be posted by special delivery postage.
If you need a true scan of any of the pictures shown, please ask. I am not conning anybody. All questions will be asked and all proof of authenticity will be provided. My phone number, should you have any queries is 01204 690844 or 07729834820.
I may consider ending this auction early, but it would have to be for a fair price and from an Ebay member with a proven track record.
Best of luck with your bids
