This is an original pressing of The Litter's 1968 fuzz champion "$100 Fine." When I purchased this record a few years ago, I thought I was getting a killer deal. I was so excited that I rushed to check out without a thorough inspection, and ran straight home to listen to this monster. Well, upon further inspection, I learned this record has a nasty warp which inhibits listening to "(A1) Mindbreaker," "(B1) Kaleidoscope," and most of "(A2) Tallyman" and "(B2) Blues One." Outside of the warp, the record still only sits right above a G. There aren't any scratches, but there a several scuffs and surface lines. I'd say the sound quality is a low VG. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. But, the cover was in such great shape, a strong VG++, that I decided to hold on to it. I stuck it in one of those record frames for a while. Now, I've decided to pass this record on to somebody else--may it be for a "starter copy," or just a heavy ornament. The starting bid is about what I paid for this thing.
...I have decided to sell a few records from my collection. I am not a record dealer, just a collector. I have based my grading system off of the Goldmine Magazine Record Grading Standard. All of the records that I am selling have been well-cared for and housed in a poly sleeve. All of the records come from a smoke-free home. As stated, I am not a dealer, so my grading scale is based on my best judgement.
MINT (NM):  The record and cover have absolutely no flaws.
NEAR MINT (NM):  Record: The record has virtually no flaws. The record may have 1-2 minor scuffs that do not affect play. The flaw is hard to see with the naked eye.
Cover: The cover shows minimal signs of wear and/or age. According to my grading scale, minimal signs of wear include minor impressions on sleeve and/or very, very minor corner creasing.
VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS (VG++, EXCELLENT, EX): Record: The record has minor scuffs that are slightly visible. There is virtually no surface noise. There are no scratches present on the record. Again, the flaws are hard to see with the naked eye.
Cover: The cover has slight impressions due to the record (ring wear), but no visible ink wear. The corners may show a minimal amount of ink wear and/or creasing. The cover has no seam splits, no writing, no tape or d.i.y. repairs.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+): Record: The record shows surface scuffs. Again, there is virtually no surface noise. The record maintains its luster, but the flaws are seen with the naked eye.
Cover: The cover is clean, but age or wear is present. The cover has no stains, mildew, or tears. There may be ring wear, but virtually no ink wear. The cover may have minimal writing (like a name or a number written in pen or pencil). There may slight seam and/or spine splitting, but none of the splits have separated the sleeve. The corners may  have ink wear, slight “dog-earing,” or visible creasing, but no cracking.  The cover has no tape, or d.i.y. repairs.
VERY GOOD (VG): Record: The record has surface scuffs and superficial scratches. The record will play through very well, but will have surface noise present. The surface noise will not overpower the dynamics of the record. The record will have some remaining luster, but the naked eye will reveal many scuffs.
Cover: The cover will look worn. The cover may have slight stains, mildew, and/or tearing. There may be ink wear present from ring wear. There may be writing on the cover (pen). There may be seam and/or spine splitting which has slightly separated the sleeve. The corners may be slightly worn away, with ink wear present, “dog-earing,” creasing, and slight cracking. The cover has no tape, or d.i.y. repairs.
GOOD (G): Record: The record will look very worn, possibly grayish, definitely dull. The record will, however, still play. The record will have heavy surface noise, like a contant hiss or crackle. The dynamics will likely be overpowered due to worn grooves. The record can still be enjoyed, but is most likely not of collector calibur.
Cover: The cover is very worn. The cover may have stains, mildew, water damage, and/or tearing. The cover will have seam and/or spine splitting, which may be covered with tape and/or other d.i.y. repairs. The cover may have writing (like a radio station written in marker, or doodling). The corners may be completely worn away. The cover is most likely not of collector calibur.
“WRECKED BUT RARE” (WBR, FUBAR, “STARTER COPY”): Record: The record may not be listenable. The record will have no cracks, but may have virtually everything else wrong.
Cover: The cover will be “wrecked.”
