ORIGINAL BEATLES WHITE ALBUM UK 1968 MONO 1ST PRESS
Up for auction is a very nice original first press of The Beatles White Album pressed in 1968. This is the rarer MONO version of the album.
It is complete with:
Original Black Inner Sleeves
Numbered Original Outer Sleeve
Rarer Top Opening Version
Poster
Four Photos
The LPs are original 1st pressing from 1968. 'Sold in U.K' on all LPs indicating that it is a 1st pressing. Pressed on the Apple Label. The label number is PMC 7067 and PMC 7068 indicating a MONO recording. All pressed on heavyweight vinyl. All LPs have 'An E.M.I Recording' on them.
The cover is an original Garrod and Lofthouse cover and is laminated. It is TOP OPENING indicating its a 1st pressing. Numbered copy 0205411 on front cover. 'The Beatles' embossed on front cover.
Matrix Numbers - XEX 709-2, XEX 710-1, XEX 711-1, XEX 712-1
Stamper Markers - 3GMO, 5GMO, 5GRR, 5MD

ALL GRADING IS DONE BY THE GOLDMINE VINYL GRADING SYSTEM
LP Disc 1
Labels - VG+
Just a couple of spindle marks around the center hole on both sides, however these can only be seen in the bright light. Slight wear on side 1 hole's rim and a small scratch on the label however hardly noticable.
Visual - VG+
In very good condition for its age. Has a couple of hairline scratches on both sides however these can not be felt with a fingernail and can only be seen under the right light. Both sides still have the rainbow sheen to them.
Audio - VG - VG
Theres a couple of crackles at the start of the LP on side 1 however these fade out and is perfect for the rest of this side. Side 2 is also the same. The LPs are played on quality audio equipment
LP Disc 2
Labels - VG+
Just a couple of spindle marks around the center hole on both sides, however these can only be seen in the bright light. Slight wear to hole on side 3 and little warping of hole on side 4 however not very noticable.
Visual - VG+
In very good condition for its age. Has a couple of hairline scratches on both sides however these can not be felt with a fingernail and can only be seen under the right light. Both sides still have the rainbow sheen to them.
Audio - VG+ - VG
Generally VG+ playing free from hiss, and any major clicks and cracks on both sides.
Black Inners
Inner 1 - VG+ - Some slight wear but overall good condition.
Inner 2 - VG - Has 3 rips in, 2 of them about 1.5cm long and the other .5cm long however LP fits nicly in there.
Cover - VG+
The thick laminated card cover is still very strong however it has aged over the years and gone a bit yellow (see pic). The front has a little crease in the top left hand corner. There is some darkening to the spine. There's a 1cm tear on spine at the top and a little creasing at the bottom. The corners has slight wear. Number and 'The Beatles' is nice and clear. However this is all minor storage wear and quite accpetable for its age. The inner spine has some slight creasing.
