Description

Hi All, the thinning out of my collection continues and I’ve sorted out a few more choice cuts in the collection for your consideration as well as a few ‘vinyl staples’ for the discerning new entrant to collecting.  For your consideration we have:

Title: ARTHUR OR THE DECLINE AND FALL OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE by THE KINKS

Cat No: NSPL 18317 – STEREO

Issue: Original 1969 issue on the BLUE PYE Label

Vinyl Condition visual: Visually, the vinyl grades as VG+; it has retained some of its gloss and a little of its sheen.  The surfaces to both sides are in VG condition with a few light marks and a few light scratches, however these are non-feelable and pretty superficial and do not affect play at all.

Vinyl Condition Playback: The vinyl grades as G+; audible static, clicks and pops are present during the playback. More obvious at the run-in/out to both sides and between tracks, however, some static can be heard during the music. This is more evident when wearing headphones and less so when listening through speakers. . There are no skips or jumps and the vinyl lays flat on the turntable.

Label Condition: VG+; fine examples, aside from some light spindle marks there is no other damage, writing or unwanted blemishes to the labels at all. The text is clear and legible on these lovely flat-matt labels.

Cover Front: The front of this laminated sleeve grades as VG+. It is ageing gracefully with a few mild folds and a few dings at the open edge and a little wear at the top and bottom edges. It’s a very light and flimsy cover this but this copy has held up well although the front of the gate-fold curls slightly as the weight of the cardboard used is featherweight. No damage at all.  Despite the few mentioned points, I’ve not seen too many that are much better to be honest.

Cover Back: VG+; the laminated back is in VG+ condition overall and very nearly EX.  Just age related blemishes all of which are age related and commensurate with grade. There are a few dings at the opening edge but that’s about it. A stereo sticker is at top right.   Inside the gate-fold is clean and damage free.

Spine: VG; the spine is intact and all the text is legible, it has however, laid flat over time.

Corners: VG; some very mild knocks to all corners.

Insert: The colourful lyric insert is present and in VG+ condition.

Postage: With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.

Payment: Most unusually I have had a few non-payers recently; therefore, please only bid if you intend paying for the item in 7 day’s. Much appreciated.
