THE PICTURES YOU SEE ARE OF THE ACTUAL ITEM YOU ARE BIDDING ON.  I NEVER USE "STOCK" PICTURES THAT HIDE BLEMISHES OR OTHER PROBLEMS.

ITEM:    Scarce and very much sought after Jazz LP;  " Spirits Rejoice ", by Albert Ayler Quintet. Released in 1965 on the Deep Groove ESP Disk white label, CATALOG NUMBER: 1020.  This is an actual first edition, not a newer re-issue.

COMMENTS/CONDITION: In demand Free Jazz record came from a private collection. The vinyl is good, but, the cover is ragged. The record was visually graded, and was spot-checked test played. I did not play both sides from start to finish. Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.

Vinyl is in Strong VG to VG+ condition, retaining a nice gloss. There are a few light scuffs/hairlines (one which can be felt ) with a fingernail. There are no warps, chips, cracks, excessive groove wear, or deep scratches. The short segments I tested played with no major problems or harsh surface noise. There were some areas that produced audible, but not overpowering, surface noise during playback.  

PLEASE NOTE:  Sound quality and playback will vary from system to system. The above comments are included strictly as reference, and are not meant to be a statement as to the experience you may have with your equipment. 

Labels in VG+ condition, with no peeling edges, stains, writing, or stickers. Center hole remains perfectly round with no signs of abusive playing.

Inner sleeve is plain white paper.

Cover is in VG to VG- condition, with visible ring/rub wear, a punch hole in the bottom right corner, and moderate soiling and spotting from handling and storage. Top seam has a full length split, and water damage and peeling to the cover slicks. The other two seams have shelf wear and chipping but, are not split. A large label with the catalog number is on the top left corner. Please see the attached photos for detailed views.
