Description
THIS AUCTION LOT CONSISTS OF: One of the "Holy Grails" of rock 'n' roll: and original 1965 pressing of the Sonics debut LP, "Here Are The Sonics" [Etiquette Records ET-LP-024]. I was an original fan of the band -- even met them once when I was 10 in 1966 -- and have collected their records ever since. Although the album has been reissued several times since the 1980s, this unit is absolutely guaranteed to be the real thing, first pressing. Heavy cardboard jacket / heavy thick vinyl / original artwork -- as opposed to later reissues with their flimsy jackets, thin vinyl, and altered cover-art and graphic layout.
Now let's talk condition! I have bought, traded and sold many copies of this album over the decades -- but this one is so clean that I kept it aside as my "back-up" "spare" copy because it is the second cleanest copy (next to the insanely MINT one that is staying in my permanent collection) that I have ever seen anywhere (including in numerous collector-friends collections). DISC CONDITION = glossy VG++++ / LABELS = pristine condition / JACKET = VG++++ (Absolute minimal aging and storage wear. Almost zero ring-wear on a cover that typically has significant wear to the front band-photo image. The jacket has ultra minor bumps at 3 corners, as seen, and sturdy solid seams with a few "flea bite" dings. No writing, stickers, stains or tears. I have stored this LP in a mylar sleeve for 30+ years....it is a real sweetie!)
