Description

Recorded June 18, 1897...that's more than 120 years ago...imagine listening in on a primitive recording session all those decades ago...it's fascinating.

Rare ORIGINAL 1897 7-inch Berliner Gramophone record #175ZZ featuring EARLY HANDWRITTEN TITLE & ARTIST INFORMATION on the label:

"MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME" TENOR SOLO BY GEO. J. GASKIN.

This record plays GREAT on my modern turntable with lightweight tone arm.

This record is obviously very early as it has the early Berliner Gramophone "lunar" surface (tiny, shallow surface 'craters' similar to the Moon surface!).

The record is announced by, I believe, George Gaskin himself.  Record has average play and handling wear.
