Description
ORFEO CATALA DE BARCELONA - BEETHOVEN: MISSA SOLEMNIS 11 OF 12 SET (RCA VICTOR) 1927. EXTREMELY RARE.
Auction is for an RCA Victor recording of a June 18, 1927, Barcelona concert to commemorate the centennial of Beethoven's death, given by the Orfeo Catala choral society and issued on a set of 12 Victor 78s (M-29). The conductor is Lluis Millet. 11 of the 12 records are up for auction (no record 2.) Vinyl: VG+. No scratches or scuffs.
Cover: VG. Spine is damaged.
Record grading I adhere closely to the Goldmine Grading System for records: Mint: Perfect! This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer, with NO flaws. Near Mint: This record appears virtually flawless. A very minor scuff and very little else. Ex: Minor scuffs only slightly visible. May be more than a few scuffs and no scratches. VG+: Record shows wear, surface scuffs. The vinyl still has a great luster. VG: This record is a record that is good enough.
90% of the records I list are Ex to Mint. The rest are rare records that should add value for the collector.
