ORF Big Band - Eleven steps

Italian pressing, Fonit Cetra Special SFC160 (1977)

Unbelievable session by the ORF Big Band, including the monster psychedelic funk BALLET with outrageously heavy drums, insane prog flute, killer wha-wha and mad fuzz! SAMBA 73 is even more incredible, with cripsy 'Superstrut' Fender Rhodes over a super groovy funky samba rhythm! LATIN LETTER is stellar electric piano funky salsa (complete with salsa drums breaks). Then you have three superb bossa tracks: the funky flute of HALLO JOSE', the cinematic lounge bossa WALKIN' AND WHISTLIN' and the groovy congas of TOMATO'S MORNING. MANGO BLOSSOM and WORLD NEEDS US TWO are just great psychedelic lounge themes. Listen!
