Larry Harlow excelled at an early age at various instruments. The music and culture of New York's Latino community led him to Cuba where he began an intense study of Afro-Cuban music. Harlow, who is known for his innovative blend of Afro-Cuban and jazz styles of piano playing, studied music in the 1950s in Cuba but was unable to complete his degree before the Cuban Revolution forced him to leave the island in 1959. Larry and his orchestra, Orquesta Harlow, was the second orchestra signed to the Fania label.

WE USE THE FOLLOWING SCALE FOR OUR STRICT, PLAYED AND/OR VISUAL GRADING OF VINYL:

Vinyl Grading System For 45 RPMs:

Near Mint (NM): The record has been on a shelf between other records. The vinyl looks glossy and clearly has only been played a few times. There are no marks on the vinyl and the whole package is complete.

Excellent (VG++): Same but I?d tolerate very light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times, or tiny signs of use generally.

Very Good Plus (VG+): A few further faults are acceptable, but nothing that really compromises the record visually or audibly. A little rub, light inaudible marks, a little background crackle, No Skips.

Very Good (VG): It?s seen a bit of life, but is still usable. Light pops and clicks, , light visible scratches but no skips. You can still listen to it and enjoy looking at it, but it is visually and audibly USED. To Be Sold As Is!...See the detailed remarks!
