Wah Wah is proud to offer the two LPs by Baltimore's high energy hard rock pride Orange Wedge. Having become one of the most successful live acts in Maryland, Orange Wedge nevertheless didn't get to sign a contract with a proper label, so in 1974 they decided it was time to invest some of their money into the self-production of their first LP. Wedge, the resulting work, shows a highly energetic band performing their own original compositions direct to your ears. Housed in a plain blue sleeve with the title stamped on front, 500 copies were pressed, some to be sent to record companies with the hope of getting a proper contract and others to be sold at gigs and a few of them at local Maryland shops. Needles to say they quickly deleted and the record is nowadays a much sought after treasure among collectors of the hard rock genre. Here at Wah Wah we have respectfully worked on its reissue to offer you a killer release in thick cardboard paste-up sleeve with silver lettering stamping, and featuring an insert with the story of the band and lots of cool photos gently provided by original Orange Wedge guitarist and composer Joe Farace. A pesar de ser la banda con el directo más contundente y popular de Naryland, Orange Wedge nunca consiguieron un contrato discográfico en condiciones. Así, en 1974, los miembros del grupo decidieron invertir su dinero en la auto-producción de su primer LP. Wegde, la obra resultante, les muestra como una banda tremendamente energética interpretando sus propias composiciones directamente en tu oído. Editado en una sencilla portada azul con el título estampado en blanco, se hicieron 500 copias. Algunas de ellas se mandaron a sellos discográficas con la esperanza de obtener un contrato de edición, otras se vendieron en los conciertos y unas pocas en tiendas locales de Maryland. No es necesario decir que se vendieron enseguida y desde entonces el disco se ha convertido en uno de los más codiciados tesoros entre coleccionistas del género hard rock.
