Description

"On The Drag Strip" Vinyl Album is a rare vintage LP anthology featuring various authentic engine sounds from different car and engine combinations on the dragstrip, as recorded by RAY FOWLER, at the 5th Annual National Hot Rod Championship Drag Races in Detroit, Michigan on Labor Day Weekend in 1959. Produced by BILL GRAUER and BARRETT CLARK of Bill Grauer Productions, Inc, it was released on Riverside Records label in a cardboard sleeve cover designed by KEN DEARDOFF with catalog number RLP 5504. On the back cover Riverside Records (the label) gives thanks to all the competitors, and special thanks to Wally Parks of Hot Rod Magazine and to Tex Smith of the National Hot Rod Association.


The vinyl is black and 12" in size, with a record grading of Good (G). The sleeve is also graded as Good (G) and the inlay is in good condition. The album falls under the Soundtracks & Musicals genre and was released in 1959.
