Description
Up for auction today is a VERY RARE German pressing of Neil Young's 1974 release "On the Beach", Reprise #REP54014. The imprint on the trailing wax is R/S Alsdorf 54014 A2 (side 1), B3 (side 2). With the exception of a 1/4" sawmark on the upper spine, this record is immaculate; no issues with the cover, inner sleeve, labels or vinyl. This is a GEM, and one of Neil's finest. The album features appearances from Crazy Horse's Ralph Molina and Billy Talbot; Ben Keith; Levon Helm and Rick Danko; David Crosby, and produced, of course, by David Briggs. "Walk On", "See the Sky About to Rain", "For the Turnstiles", "Revolution Blues"; the whole album is a classic. The coolest thing physically about the record is that on the inside of the cover is the pattern of the beach chair and umbrella fabric. It's a nice subtle touch. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. I will ship to anywhere but Asia/Russia, Italy and France due to previous issues with their Postal Services, so please refrain from bidding from these countries.
