This record is in excellent condition. It has spindle marks visible on the labels but neither side has pen marks, scuffs or any other damage such as stains or fading. The centres show light wear but are not loose or really worn. Overall the labels are in good shape with only the spindle marks and light wear to the centres to report.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are pretty clean for its age with nothing serious and a lovely lustre. There are a few light surface lines and minor marks but really nothing nasty at all. These signs of use clearly show under bright light, along with some more wispy lines, but again nothing serious or sinister. Overall a vintage used record that has no nasty scuffs, serious marks or blemishes and has a beautiful vivid shine.
I play tested the record and it plays really well and sounded superb throughout. It lays flat on the deck and upon playing there is next to no movement in the record arm. The audio was crisp, defined and very clear with minimal surface noise or interference audible. There is maybe a touch in the run in and between some tracks but very little indeed in the actual audio. There is no distortion caused by excessive use and of course there are no skips, sticks or annoying clicks/pops. Overall it was a quality audio experience and was a pleasure to play test such an iconic soundtrack with really great clarity.
The laminated gatefold sleeve is in excellent- condition. It has some rubbing and wear to the edges and corners but nothing severe and the writing along the spine all clearly legible. There are of course no splits and no tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere. There is however some creasing to the laminate on both sides. There is also areas of really small bubbles or specks visible on both sides, which I have tried to capture in the photographs. These 'bubbles' or specks and the laminate creasing are the sleeves main issue and are a sign of its age. They do not look horrific however and are mostly only visible at certain angles. Other than these there is also a mild ring mark showing on the rear. There is also a touch of grubbiness or discolouring inside the gatefold, but again nothing drastic. So overall a strong sleeve with no really nasty issues but some age related wear and the lamianted creasing/'bubbles' as mentioned. Please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible on its condition.
It includes its original plain white inner which is in very good condition. This has no tears but does have some minor creasing, slight discolouring, a pen mark(cat no.) to the top right corner and a split to the bottom edge which has been taped. It is therefore solid and fulfils its purpose but not pristine.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
