I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers. OMD.

ORIGINAL 1983 UK VIRGIN RECORDS (V 2261) TEST PRESSING LP.
Only a couple of these exist, this is a top example and very rare.
This test pressing is so rare it has never been listed for sale on Discogs!

The Record / EX+ condition. 
A super condition disc that was only played a couple of times. Under halogen bulb the disc is in great condition and looks near new condition. This is super rare and a top example. The record plays and sounds great on both sides. 
The Labels / EX+ condition / Both white test press labels are in top shape with no writing.
The Cover/ VG- condition. The correct white card cover has age wear and a couple of creases. OMD added in pen to one corner. .................................................................................
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear.  The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
