Description

This is a rather rare version of the 7” vinyl single from 1988 by Olivia Newton-John titled "The Rumour" (written by Elton John & Bernie Taupin) with "Winter Angel" (written by Amy Sky & Olivia Newton-John, herself) on the b-side.


It is a promo-only release from Japan on the Polydor label.


Produced by James Newton Howard and Elton John.


The vinyl, original plain white promo sleeve, & photo/lyrics insert are all in very good condition, with primary flaws being tape that has yellowed (on both the insert & the cover picture sleeve), a little spotting on the record labels, and a little writing on the back side of the insert. Comes in a resealable plastic protective sleeve.


I’ve tried to show the flaws I noticed in the photos. Please take a look to make sure you are ok with them; all pictures are of the actual item you will receive.


This particular release is one of the harder Japanese vinyl releases to track down, as it was only made in limited quantities as a promo record. There was more of an effort to move away from vinyl & to market cd singles at the time, so this is a chance to add a real rarity to your collection.


Has not been play tested. Sold more for its collectibility than playability.
