Description
Please note this one does not come with the cover. Pokora’s 3001 Record Collectors Dreams gives this album 5 stars on the rarity scale. From Acid Archives: “Although sightings are few and far between, this odd West Coast bird has acquired a minor underground reputation over time. It is music from a College Of Marin stage production of an ancient play by Aristophanes, which theme the students saw as a fitting protest against the Vietnam War. Jazzy hippie folkrock with clean electric guitar soloing, stagey solo and ensemble singing, ambitious compositions with shifting meters and moods, and lots of piano and flute. The production value is clearly above average, with a tight, well-rehearsed band and chorus. The songs and interludes are snappy and constantly moving, and The Birds may in fact work for some prog rock fans. Its main fan base is likely to be West Coast private press hounds though, with additional allure via the Bay Area connection and (to some extent) Bay Area sound.” Privately released in the U.S. on the Rock Bottom label in 1970. In the U.S., postage would be about $4.77 for one LP sent by Media Mail. Package insured upon request. Winners outside of the U.S. will be notified of postal fees, but an approximate cost for one LP to many countries is $16.20 by airmail (but Canada and Mexico will be less than this for most single LP packages). Yes, I do combine shipping so if you bid on and win more than one item, you WILL save on postage! Note: I do not gouge on postage and packaging costs.
