DESCRIPTION

Offenbach - Gaite Parisienne

Boston Pops Orchestra, Arthur Fiedler Conducting.

RCA Victor Living Stereo LP LSC-1817

"Red Seal" series.

Shaded Dog Label

Matrix Numbers: 11s/10s

Ca. 1958/9

This LP is on the Harry Pearson "TAS" list of the best sounding classical LPs.

We recently acquired this LP from the estate of the original owner,

a WWII veteran (USN) who taught foreign language courses at local colleges and universities.

Judging from his very large record collection he listened exclusively to classical music.

During the 1980s and 90s he was either director of programming or program host for KIWR radio

in Council Bluffs, IA

(back when it was a classical station).

Most of the LPs in the collection appear virtually unplayed.

We believe the original owner played most of his LP's only once, in order to record them to tape.

See our other listings for more LPs and audiophile-quality home audio equipment from the same estate.

CONDITION

LP is Near Mint (our highest grade for an opened record).

It appears virtually unplayed.

We believe the original owner played most of his LP's only once, in order to record them to tape.

Cover is excellent, still has nice glossy sheen. Original paper/plastic inner sleeve. Seam wear to paper.

No reserve.
