Hello!  Before I start my normal description - I would just like to explain to any of my regular buyers why there is only 1 item on my listings this week!  Last week (Tuesday) I was forced to undertake a long delayed operation on my leg/foot, which I had put off for some time!  However it has now taken place - and obviously because I cannot walk at present (not fun!) I couldn't list my usual amount of auctions of 30+ auction items.  However everything will be continuing AS NORMAL next week (from Saturday August 15th) - when I will be listing my usual quota of EXTREMELY rare items!  With any luck I should be up and about by then (according to the doctor!).  However - before I went in for the operation - I completed the listing below, and saved this very VERY special item for collectors to savour!  Please read on below - and take a look at the mouthwatering item I have listed this week:-

 On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) called "Oddsocks" and is an ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Splat label (though it was actually pressed & made by Deroy - in their usual cover/matrixes/label style!)!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST DEROY RELATED LPs EVER MADE - AND SIMPLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE (TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THIS IS THE ONLY ONE EVER TO BE LISTED!)!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1971 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT WAS STRICTLY LIMITED TO 99 COPIES ONLY - AND WAS IMMEDIATELY DELETED, NEVER TO BE PRESSED AGAIN!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! 

AND OF COURSE - THE FACT THAT THIS LP WAS ACTUALLY PRESSED BY DEROY, MAKES IT EVEN RARER STILL.  IT HAS THE EXACT SAME MATRIXES, COVER, & LABEL STYLE AS ALL OTHER DEROY PRESSINGS, AND THE 'D' IN THE CAT NUMBER ALSO STANDS FOR 'DEROY' ASWELL!!!!  THIS LP WAS OF COURSE PRIVATELY PRESSED BY AN EAST LONDON CLUB, TO PROMOTE ALL THE BANDS IN THE EAST LONDON AREA (MOST OF WHICH PLAYED AT THAT VENUE!)!!!!  IT WAS THEY WHO INSISTED ON THE 'SPLAT!' LABEL - OR ELSE IT WOULD HAVE HAD THE USUAL 'DEROY' LABEL, WHICH ALL OTHER DEROY PRESSINGS AT THAT TIME HAD!!!!  AND LIKE ALL OTHER DEROY PRESSINGS FROM THIS PERIOD, THE COVER IS PLAIN, WITH A CRUDE 'PRINTED STAMP' ON THE COVER FRONT ADVERTISING THE CONTENTS!!!!  THE REVERSE OF THE COVER HAS FLIPBACKS, AND IS PLAIN.  THERE IS ALSO A 7/99 NUMBER ON THE COVER FRONT - WHICH I BELIEVE DENOTES THE NUMBER OF THE '99 COPIES' EVER MADE, IN THIS CASE NUMBER '7' OF 99!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THE MUSIC IT CONTAINS!!!!  AND ALTHOUGH SOME OF THE OTHER TRACKS ON THIS LP ARE VERY INTERESTING, IT IS ESPECIALLY SOUGHT AFTER FOR THE BLUES TRACK 'MOANING GUITAR BLUES' BY THE BLACK & BLUES BAND - AND THE AWESOME PROGRESSIVE TRACK 'THE STREET' BY EGOR!!!!  EGOR IS PERHAPS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT 'LOST' PROGESSIVE BANDS OF ALL TIME!!!!  THEY CLEARLY HAD SOME AMAZING TALENT - AND THEIR EXTREMELY LONG PROGRESSIVE TRACK (WITH THUNDEROUS GUITAR!) CHANGES TEMPO & STYLE ON AT LEAST 3 OCCASSIONS, WITH BLUES INFLUENCES (LIKE LED ZEPPELIN ON THEIR FIRST LP!), OUT AND OUT HEAVY ROCK (LIKE BLACK SABBATH'S 1ST LP OR DEEP PURPLE FROM 1970/71) AND SOME STUNNING VOCALS (MUCH LIKE THE DEVIANTS FROM THE LATE 1960s PERIOD!)!!!!   EGOR ARE UNDOUBTEDLY ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT 'LOST' PROGESSIVE BANDS EVER - AND CAN ONLY BE HEARD ON THIS LP!!!!

AND OF COURSE THE BLACK & BLUES BAND (AS I JUST MENTIONED) PLAY A VERY HIGH QUALITY BLUES TRACK 'MOANING GUITAR BLUES' - WHICH IS MUCH IN THE STYLE OF LATE 1960s FLEETWOOD MAC, OR CHICKEN SHACK.  AND DESPITE 'THE STREET' BY EGOR BEING THE STAND OUT TRACK - TONY & REBOUNDS 'GIMME TIME' IS A GREAT PIECE OF LATE 60s BEAT (WITH SOME QUALITY BLUES GUITAR IN THE MIDDLE!), JIM BLACKS 'CURIOSITY SHOP' IS VERY INTERESTING WITH SOME GREAT BLUES GUITAR, AND IT EVEN HINTS AT PSYCHEDELIA IN PLACES!!!!  THE JAMES CURTIS SOUND & ED CLARK BOTH PLAY SOME DECENT (BUT NOT OUTSTANDING) 60s BEAT, AND THE SENATORS DEFINITELY HAVE A 1964 'GEORGIE FAME' MOD SOUND.  KEVIN VICKERS'S TRACK IS INTERESTING - AS IT IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' EXAMPLES OF A FULL BLOWN SYNTHESIZER BEING USED (GIVING A MOODY MOD 60s SOUND), AND JIM BLACK'S 'SYNCOPATED TIME' IS A QUALITY GUITAR SOLO!!!!  THE ONE 'DUFF' TRACK IS THE 'NEW ERA JAZZ BAND' - WHICH PLAYS SOME VERY 'OLD ERA' JAZZ AND IS PRETTY APPALLING!!!!  BUT THAT IS IN TRUTH THE ONLY 'BAD' TRACK ON THIS LP (THE REST BEING INTERESTING, AND SOME BEING ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!)!!!!  BUT THIS LP IS MOST SOUGHT AFTER FOR THE SUPERB PROGRESSIVE TRACK 'THE STREET' BY EGOR - WHICH IS ONE OF THE GREATEST 'LOST' PROGESSIVE TRACKS EVER MADE!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - IS AS RARE AS IT GETS!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS SPLAT! (DEROY) LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS FLIPBACK COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Splat (Deroy) UK 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is DBR 4286 on the 1st Press Splat (Deroy) label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!! 

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 VERY light hairlines, only 1 MEGA light scuffline, only 2 or 3 VERY faint pressing traces (clearly from manufacture!), and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!!  Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The 1st Press Flipback 'Printed Stamp' Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! The cover has only slight edge wear, only slight spinal wear, only slight corner wear, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, and NO writing (apart from a couple of VERY small ink traces - but NO actual words AT ALL!)!!!!  The opening edge is VERY straight indeed!!!!  Even the back of the cover is in GREAT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!!  The Cover must grade Very Good(Minus) (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is VERY presentable indeed!!!!  SO DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE AMAZING RARITY OF THIS INCREDIBLE LP!!!!  ONLY 99 COPIES WERE EVER MADE - AND THE CHANCES OF FINDING ANOTHER ONE AGAIN ARE VIRTUALLY ZERO!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!
