Observation Clinique "NPI" K7 tape privately issued by Piero Mazzocchin (no catalogue number) in Italy, 1983. Original handmade sleeve. ****** Tape:m- / Cov:m- ****** Directly from M.B. archives, a milestone of early 80s Italian brutalism! If you know Piero Mazzocchin it means you are a guru of the underground experimental world. This obscure artist in the beginning of the 80s was a activist of those synthetic sounds close to Mauthausen Orchestra and M.B., or the peaks of Italian bruitistic modernists. His most accomplished project was called Observation Clinique. Pietro Mazzocchin was very active in the extreme power electronics scene. He produced music for psychotic states. Compulsive noise signals, splinters of synthetic debris and obsessive electronics shocks make his sound a mesmerizing experience. The discipline of a damaged brain. Mazzocchin put out cassettes under different moniker: Swastika Kommando, The New Sadism, Observation Clinique and also as Lyoto Music together with Pierpaolo Zoppo of the legendary Mauthausen Orchestra. Some of his tapes were published by Broken Flag (UK), Recloose Organisation (UK) and Aquilifer Sodality (Italy). The rarest tapes anyway remain the self released ones, like the one offered here. In 1985 Pietro Mazzocchin left the scene.
