Description

NUCLEUS - 'WE'LL TALK ABOUT IT LATER'
Formed by late Ian Carr in London in October 1969, the jazz-rock Nucleus lined up as: Ian (trumpet/flugelhorn), Karl Jenkins (piano, baritone, oboe), Brian Smith (saxes, flute), Bernie Holland (guitar), Jeff Clyne (bass, bass guitar) and John Marshall (drums).

This great sounding 1971 1st UK pressing of their 2nd album is on the Vertigo 'swirl' label: 6360 027

Vinyl weight: 135g

Housed within an unlaminated  'E. J. Day Group' printed gatefold cover with front panel window & original poly-lined 'swirl' inner-sleeve.

A clean & unblemished pair with a small number of light spindle trails, mostly around the side 2 centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Superb clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which totally unmarked in strong daylight with just some harmless wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this well looked-after copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +

This fine sounding copy has received some careful play on good equipment and is clean & unworn throughout. My single careful play-check at volume detected just a touch of low-level vinyl background during some of the quieter passages, but no groove/playwear or any clicks, pops or any other such distraction.

Cover: VERY GOOD +

A clean & strong example with mild storagewear but no significant or major faults throughout. There is light rubbing on both panels but no damage to or around the cut-out front panel window.

The inside of the gatefold is clean and unworn.

Theere is wear along the upper edge of the spine but the text is complete and readable.

Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD

Moderate age/storage wear with two small tears to the lower edge of the centre window, but no writing or splits to any seam.
