Comments: Strong double-sider. A-side starts out as sparsely instrumented Deep Soul ballad and turns into a big beat ballad with horns and strings (but no back-up singers), all tied together by Thelma’s fine vocal. B-side is a really 1:st class Northern Soul stomper – why didn’t Aretha cover this one as well? Again Thelma does some exquisite belting, at times very similar to Aretha’s in fact.
