This brilliant Beat Ballad penned by Oddie himself in 1966, has been in discussion for many years as to whether it is Northern Soul or not.
But what IS Northern Soul anyway? it's a genre of many genres. Either way, this is a beautiful song by an artist that you would never think would do something like this, until maybe you discover Bill Oddie was a regular attendee to the Twisted Wheel, so he might have got influence from there. Make up yout own mind!
