Description
The Metros, Sweetest One, on RCA 3776. Original mono issue is strong VG+ to M-, just a couple of very light marks that don't sound. Cover is still in shrink wrap, rear cover has a couple of light stains. Comes with original RCA inner sleeve. Unlike a lot of Northern LPs, which just include a group's hit and then a lot of filler, this is a superb Detroit soul disk, courtesy of Joe Hunter and Jack Ashford. Of course it has the classic, Since I Found My Baby, but also has a great version of Since I Found My Baby, an excellent transition-style dancer called Egyptian Love, and several other excellent Northern-style songs that never appeared on 45s. Impeccable production throughout.
GRADING
M- A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.
VG+ Full gloss, some light marks. A very, very attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.
VG More marks and scratches, will have some surface noise, but still a playable record. Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.
VG- Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems.
G+ and G Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.
