Comments: Superb copy of Joe Simon’s classic Northern Soul anthem. This is the original from 1963, that was leased to DOT the following year for national distribution. Ida Irral Berger, the label owner and co-composer, also wrote  “Warm And Tender Love”, initially recorded by Joe Haywood and subsequently turned into a big hit by Percy Sledge.  The B-side, though paling compared to the force of the A-side, is also a strong track, smooth suave singing over a slow- to mid-tempo backing track that builds.
