Description
1977 re-make of the hyper-rare 60s track on Breakthrough. Essentially it’s the original backing track from the Breakthrough 45 (or one amazingly close to it) with a new group vocal by (as I understand it) some or all of the original group. So, not strictly a straight reissue, not strictly an entirely new record. I’ve always considered it a legitimate ‘original’ record in its own right because of the new vocal, but I just have to be careful to emphasise that it’s NOT the original orange Breakthrough ultra-rarity! The bonus is that you also get the instrumental on the flip, whereas the original orange release had no flip at all. The original run of 1000 from nearly 40 years ago has long-since vanished into collections, so it’s now a really tough record to find, and it will only get harder as time goes by. Vinyl is VG++ both sides, labels are pristine with no writing, tears or stickers. Superb copy.
