DEN OF INIQUITY by The Norman Haines Band is, as you will all know, one THE great legendary lost psych classics...only 500 copies were pressed. This is a genune UK 1st and only pressing on Parlophone PCS 7130......COVER; Absolutely stunning, bar 2 tiny biro marks on rear and some light rubbing on front bottom edge (from years in storage). This is one of the flimsiest covers I've seen so I cannot believe there is better.....VINYL; tough to grade. Side 1 plays beautifully with only one very light pop. 30 second into Rabbits on side 2 here is a scratch with causes a brief buzzing sound and 2 clicks. I rechecked the scratch several times and on a couple of occassions it caused the needle to skip 1 groove twice. As far as deep scratches go it's not at all bad as it doesn't stick and doesn't always skip. The scratch is in line with the grooves and could be treated by a pro. Otherwise it plays Superbly with only the lightest of surface noise....there are a few hairlines. Overall I'd grade it EX+/VG+...........NEVERTHELESS AN ULTRA RARITY...I'VE SET A RESERVE AS IT HAS ENORMOUS SENTIMENTAL VALUE TO ME AS ONE OF THE FIRST RARE RECORDS I BOUGHT!!!!!......ITEM HAS BEEN RELISTED AS ORIGINAL BUYER PAID BUY-IT-NOW IN ERROR - GENUINE MISTAKE....HE REFUNDED MY FEE!!!!!
