Description
This is Mercury Records MG C - 601/2, Jam Session #1 & #2, two deep groove, light blue trumpet label original mono issues of these classic sides. These records were originally issued separately but are combined here to form a complete set. I believe this is the first time they have been offered together on eBay. The records are in VG+ (#1) and VG(+) (#2) condition. #1 shows light marks on both sides but plays quietly. #2 shows a bit more wear and has a bit more light background crackle under the music on the slow "Funky Blues" but there is no distortion or anything above the music to distract from the play. The covers with their iconic David Stone Martin drawings are unblemished and intact but, particularly #2, show some shelf wear (see photo 4). The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. The records were played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode and cleaned on a VPI 17. These are excellent collector's grade copies of beautiful original records offered together for your collecting convenience for what is probably the first time.
