Description
For sale is Norman Granz' "JAM SESSION #5," Clef MG C-4005, MONO, 1953. With Oscar Peterson, Buddy Rich, Illinois Jacquet, Flip Phillips, Ray Brown, others.
SOUND: VG+ or better It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall a very nice playback. There is some soft surface noise or crackle, only audible during the softer-volume passages. Very minor... only a perfectionist would object!
VINYL: VG+ Heavy vinyl has a flat edge. There are some faint, hairline marks either side, as well as some smudging. All appearing superficial, nothing "feel-able." The baby-blue Clef "trumpeter" labels are clean and bright, with faint spindle marks either side.
JACKET: VG+ Heavy cardboard is in excellent condition. Small split bottom center edge, otherwise solid all-around. Corners have routine bumping/wear. Front and back covers clean and unmarked, with routine aging/wear.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
