A landmark release compiled by Brian Eno himself and possibly the first record ever to tout the No/ANti NY, No Wave experession, this is a collection of tracks courtesy of some of the most seminal bands to grace the scene. The White-Lunch duo is quite overtly overrepresented with no less than eight tracks alongside MARS and DNA's contributions. The no-wave credo of no chords, leniency towards jazz and or tribal rhythm structures alongside a taste for the lyrycally obscure.Here the improvisations of MARS and DNA take over, at least musically, the tortured murder ballads of White and cohorts. Once again, Eno strengthens his rep as the man with a view.
