Description
Nirvana Molly's Lips split 7" (with the Fluid's Candy). This is, I believe, one of the rarest of the vinyl colors for the first pressing. Of the 7500 pressed, 4000 were marbled green and 3500 were pressed on black. "A very limited number" were pressed in pure green and even fewer pressed with green and black. This one appears to be somewhere in between those two rarer pressings. It's mostly green though there is some black mixed in. Two photos show the main black in the vinyl mix. Good ol’ helpful eBay folks removed my link, so search pettediscographies to learn more about the variations.
Their analysis seems to suggest there were very few pressed with green and black, so this may be your only opportunity to add this to your collection.
The sleeve still has the order form. and is in pretty nice condition. A bit bumped at the corners on the left edge of the Nirvana side, otherwise clean and fairly untouched. In the original plastic sleeve, which could be replaced and would make the whole package a lot nicer.
The vinyl is quite nice. I'd say conservatively VG+. A bit of noise at the beginning of the Fluid side. The Nirvana side is quiet and looks great.
