Description
One of the ultimate classics from the Seattle Sub Pop empire, "Love Buzz" introduced the world to the most important and downright exciting rock band since the Sex Pistols. We're talking, of course, about Nirvana, who issued this mind-altering version of an old Shocking Blue track, backed with the Kurt Cobain-penned "Big Cheese", in a hand-numbered edition of 1000 via the irrepressible Sub Pop Singles Club.
This is a European reproduction of 'Nirvanas' first single (where only 1000 were made) which was made by Sub Pop in 1988. I bought this bootleg in 1990 at a record collectors fair at Reading Festival. I have cherished it for many years, being a massive Nirvana fan. I have only played it once recently, remembering Kurt's death and am selling it, hoping it will go to a good home where it will be played more often.
The single is 'not' an original but a copy but looks very much like the real thing except for the sleeve is darker, losing the following details: the last two letters of the names "Kobain, Novoselic, Channing", the name "Alice Wheeler" and the surname of "Suzanne Sasic".
There are a few brown marks on the top right hand corner of the reverse side of the outer sleeve and the glue is coming undone in places. The actual record itself is in very good condition and still plays like new.
For a Nirvana fan, this is a chance to get a copy of 'a very rare' 7" single, which, if mounted and framed, would look fantastic.
