Description

Great chance to buy this special record that doesn’t come up that often. The first UK press of Nirvana Bleach on Tupelo on super rare white vinyl - only 300 pressed! This is the real deal, not one of the fakes! Has the correct matrix etching (MPO TUPLP 6 A1 / MPO TUPLP 6 B1, with the MPO part slightly scribbled out) and correctly plays Big Cheese on side A track 5 (fake plays Love Buzz). There are a few websites that outline what to look out for in terms of spotting fakes (such as pette discographies). The Vinyl is somewhere between near mint and excellent. It’s almost flawless with just a faint mark on side A (which I’ve tried to show in photos, pic 13), which only shows in bright light and doesn’t affect play. There are a few very light marks on side B but so light I can’t get a photo and only show under very bright light and again don’t effect play. Sounds fantastic with only light crackling between tracks and during quiet bits (not many quiet bits on this LP though 😀). The sleeve is somewhere between excellent and very good. Overall it has held its shape nicely with a crisp spine and no tears or breaks but it’s not perfect. There are blotchy wear marks on the front bottom (shown in pictures) and it has marks to the top of the front which look like scribbling indentations (again shown in pics). I’ve taken the pics in a bright light to highlight the flaws but overall not a bad example given its age. The inner sleeve is fine with slight discolouration and crumpling but no tears or serious defects. So overall a very nice copy of this massively rare and collectible record!
