Description
This is one of the original Nirvana Bleach pressings from Sub Pop. There were 1,000 white vinyl records made, and this is one of them. It is an excellent example of the original limited edition release of 1000 of the first album from one of the most popular and influential bands of the 1990's. Apparently, some of these albums were issued with posters, and some were not. This one DOES NOT have the poster. Etchings on A side: SP-34-A k disc ch L32926. Etchings on B side: SP-34-B k disc ch L329(character crossed out)26X I bought this album in late 1994, and when I bought it, it had been opened. I am NOT an expert on record albums and their condition, but I will try to describe the condition issues I see, and I hope the photos demonstrate the condition of the album and the sleeve. The sleeve has some minor creases and some of the corners are bent a bit with a small bit of chipping that shows the white(see photos). The sleeve has very minor ring wear that I could not get a good photo of, but the sleeve is very bright and still very glossy. The record album itself is in very good condition. There are no scratches that I could find, and it plays just as it should, with the classic, analog, punk rock sound that helped to bring "grunge" to the forefront of popular music. There is a condition issue on the paper ring on the A side right at the hole where some of the label has ripped away (see pictures), but it seems to me that it comes from the original manufacturing process rather than the result of misuse or damage. This is a fantastic and important piece not just of 1990's music memorabilia, but of music history in general. Please feel free to ask any questions or request additional photos.
