Original 1962 US pressing of Niño Rivera – Cuban Jam Session – Volume 3 on Panart Records (LP-3090). This album features classic Cuban descarga, guaguancó, cha-cha, and son montuno grooves, showcasing Niño Rivera’s masterful tres playing and band leadership. Highlights include tight ensemble interplay, improvisational solos, and rhythmic Cuban jazz that defined the early 1960s Latin jazz scene. Musicians include Orestes Lopez (piano), Richard Egues (flute), Tata Güines (congas), and Salvador Vivar (bass).
