ABOUT THIS RELEASE

Originally unleashed in 1971, "Blood And Fire" is the monumental debut smash from legendary roots architect Winston "Niney" Holness. Recorded at Dynamic Sounds with vocal backing from the Heptones and a blistering rhythm track, this legendary cut fundamentally shaped the gritty, heavier sound of 1970s roots reggae.

This sought-after 2005 Jamaican reissue was produced directly by Niney Holness himself and distributed via the Reggae Box Project to deliver an authentic, floor-shaking sound system cut of a certified foundation anthem.
