Now 18 years have passed since the duo Nighthawks caused a small sensation: Rarely was a newcoming act (also from German lands) so successful in the field of groove jazz, seldom were the media and audience aware of the outstanding quality of the album " Metro Bar "in such agreement. (first released on cd, 2013 on vinyl)
As Nighthawks Dal Martino and Reiner Winterschladen are specialists for cool grooves and atmospheric samples, over which the clear voice of a lonely trumpet intones stories from the big city - sometimes sharply articulated, sometimes breathed yearningly.
Have you seen it live in bingen open air, then I have the lp bought and signed, all original, this band plays like pink floyd this evening, it was wonderful, on vinyl they sound jazzy, appeared in very small editions on vinyl .. ...
