Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left

This is rare 2nd Pressing of Five Leaves Left on the Pink Rim Island label but what makes it more rare is that the LP comes housed in an original FIRST PRESSING sleeve (See photo of album rear). The earliest copies of the 2nd Pressing came in the first pressing sleeves simply because Island produced more 1st Ed sleeves than they did 1st Ed LP's. Most 2nd presses come with the newer sleeves that featured the new Island logo. This copy still has the original Eye logo at the top left and the Basing Street address at the bottom. The good news is that the vinyl is in EXCELLENT+ condition with only a few very faint hairline marks and nothing that affects the play. There is occasionally a very slight popping here and there (only audible in the quietest moments) but nothing major at all, you'll not be disappointed. You will see in the 5th photo that the label on Side B has a small piece missing. I would put money on this being a factory error as I cannot see how this would happen otherwise. It doesn't or course affect the play in any way and is only through the paper label - not into the vinyl itself.

The matrix numbers are
Side A - ILPS 9105 A-3U
Side B - ILPS 9105 B-3U

The gatefold sleeve is in good condition. The spine shows wear, there has been a sticker removed at the top right corner and there is mild ringwear to the front. Otherwise everything else is very nice. Inside the gatefold is very clean and clear and the back cover is great.

This is a rare opportunity to get HALF a first pressing of the mega rare album. The second pressings are also only going up in value.
