This is a wonderful opportunity for Nick Cave fans to acquire this Special Box Set of Push the Sky Away. It contains the album in both vinyl and CD format, 2 vinyl singles/EPs, a DVD and a reproduced notebook showing Nick Cave's lyrics, notes, diary entries and other miscellaneous stuff. It also has a certificate of authenticity signed by Nick Cave, number 49 (out of 300 I believe). All in a nice matt black box with gold embossed lettering!
Although the box has been opened to photograph the contents, none of the records/CD/DVD have even been removed from their sleeves and certainly never played.
The story of why I'm selling this is totally genuine. A couple of friends who live in the Lake District won this box set and two tickets to see Nick Cave at the Hammersmith Apollo in May 2015. They won it in some kind of raffle - not sure of the details. Anyway they're not music fans of any description and live 250 miles from London, so gave us the prize. My wife and I went to the gig - it was free after all, but although we're both music fans, to be honest Nick Cave is not our sort of thing, so it seemed daft to hang on to a box set we're never going to play. We're going to give the proceeds to the Alzheimer's Society (having consulted our Lake District friends). So go ahead if you're a big Nick Cave fan - bid BIG and you'll not only get this wonderful limited edition box set, but know you're helping to tackle the terrible scourge of dementia.
