Description

New York Hardcore - Where The Wild Things Are LP. 1st Pressing Gold/Black vinyl. Limited edition 1000 copies pressed. Blackout Records #1. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
This is a pretty solid copy of one of the greatest Hardcore compilations ever, in my opinion.
1st pressing was limited to 1000 copies on gold and black splatter pattern vinyl and another 2000 were pressed on regular black vinyl.

Includes a 20-page printed booklet with band info, art & lyrics. Includes a printed inner sleeve with drawing on one side and a photo collage on the other.  Side A contains a 10th track which is neither stated on sleeve, booklet or label.

  • Run-out groove (Side A): BL-1-A ???
  • Run-out groove (Side B): BL-1-B ???

This record looks to be in great shape with only 2 or 3 extremely light, and difficult to even see, scratches.  It can be a bit difficult to see scratches on colored vinyl, but I believe I purchased this copy after I no longer owned a record player, so it has likely has barely been played, if at all.  VG++
The inner sleeve is in pretty good shape over all, but does have some seam splits, as is fairly common with this type of sleeve. The bottom split is around 7 inches, while the side splits are only 1 and 2 inches, respectively. Apart from that, there is over all Light wear from handling (perhaps leaning slightly towards Moderate) but no other significant damage besides the seam splits. G+++
The 20 Page booklet is also in great shape with just a couple extremely short veins near the spine, and some Very Light over all handling wear. The front page has extremely small creases at 2 corners of the edge that opens. They are both under 1cm in length and almost not even worth mentioning. The final page has similar creases but they are even smaller and even less significant than the ones just mentioned. There is also a very faint and very light one inch crease at the top corner of the front cover. It is a very minor blemish. All of the inner pages are pretty minty, with no creases, stains, tears or folds or even handling wear. I would say the booklet easily rates VG+   The record cover is also in really good shape. There is not any visible ring wear at all on the front. The back has Very Light ring wear visible at the top middle area and just barely visible at the bottom middle area. The front cover has a handful of short and Very Light veins. There is one vein near the bottom edge which is longer (2 inches) but it is especially faint. The opening edge of the cover has s two very small (1 centimeter) tears, about an inch from each other, that kind of make a 1inch x 1centimeter tab along that edge. It's a pretty minor ding. On the back cover, 3 of the corners have very light veins from near bends. One is about an inch, one is 2 inches, and one is around 4 inches, but all are Very Light and faint. 2 of the corner tips have Light wear, 1 has Moderate wear and one has Severe wear but all of that is confined to the tips of those corners. The spine edge has only Light wear (slightly worse near the corners) and all title text is intact along that edge. The most significant wear on this entire cover is along the shelf edge. The shelf edge has Moderate wear leaning towards Severe, with one inch of Severe wear near the opening corner. The same corner previously mentioned with the Severe wear. All of that probably makes it sound worse than it really is, because this cover still looks really good from front and back and probably rates VG despite the wear on the shelf edge.

Grades that I use are G-, G, G+, G++, G+++, VG, VG+, VG++, VG+++/EX, NM. I won't be describing anything as M or MINT unless it is unopened and the packaging is completely unblemished. Records that have never been played but HAVE been opened, will be described as Near Mint or NM. These are the adjectives that I use when describing damage: Very Light, Light, Moderate, Severe, Catastrophic. To describe damage in between those ranks I say things like: "Moderate leaning towards Severe," "Moderate leaning towards light," or "In between Light and Moderate"...just for example.
