Description
Lovely condition and scarce copy of this original early U.K. version of New Order’s classic compilation album, released on Factory in 1987.
Distributed extensively worldwide, with several re-issues carrying subtle sleeve and label variations, this is one of the rare U.K. originals with the embossed sleeve and A1/B1/C1/D1 matrix numbers and tell-tale run-out etchings.
The collection comprises all of the band’s 12” singles output at the time, from Ceremony through to True Faith, and is the companion volume to the Joy Division compilation of the same name.

Vinyl: (Both Discs) VG++ Nice clean copies - obviously handled and played with lots of superficial hairline surface marks but still retains a lovely deep lustre and sheen. Play-tested in full and reproduction is fantastic. The odd bit of crackle here and there on the run-ins and dead-wax between tracks, but any such minor flaws are entirely lost behind the audio track. Plays through really well, no distortion even when played very loud. No jumps, skips or scratches.
Labels are plain white with black label text. Nice and clean without scuffs, stains or blemishes and hardly any discernible spindle-wear.
Sleeve: Ex Superb condition for its age. This is the original U.K. version, semi-gloss white card with black embossed lettering on the front cover. Comes complete with thin card inners.
Structurally sound with no splits or tears, very minor corner wear. The spine is solid with all spine-text completely clear. Seams all securely stuck down.
There are some tiny pen-marks on the rear of the sleeve where someone has ticked against the tracklisting (See photo)
It’s a lovely early original copy of a genuine collectors item. Sounds fantastic.
