HonestDave has been selling vinyl for almost 30 years, collecting himself for more than 40 and present on Ebay for over 5 years. Well known at East Anglian record fairs for only selling the best and for guaranteeing anything and everything, anyone who buys from me gets the assurance of receiving the best quality correct item from the best era in pop music 1958 – 1973, and at affordable prices. My feedback speaks for itself (currently 100%, with a rating of 2436, and a total left of 3405). The respected Record Collector Magazine's grading system is used for quality control. Any errors or omissions, or disagreements with my descriptions resulting in items which are not acceptable to the buyer for any reason are instantly refunded in full. All my discs are suitable for individual turntables or to replace worn out examples on the jukebox at the pub. I can assure everyone that if the condition is such that I would not buy it myself, then I will not try to sell it. I do not own a digital camera so please do not ask me to put up photographs – that is why the no quibble guarantee is in place. I never use the category MINT unless I can prove that the item has never been played, so the best quality I will normally sell is graded NEAR MINT, the majority will be in EXCELLENT, and only a very few will be (at the lowest) VERY GOOD. This description applies equally to the cover of the LP or EP or the company sleeve if a 45 rpm single and to both sides of the vinyl. If the company sleeve is an original, remember it will be at least 40 years old and some allowance must be made for its condition. Any other exceptions, stickers or sticker marks, writing on label, hairlines or other vinyl marks will be described in full. Replica company sleeves will be supplied if I have them and should be correct for the issue though this is not 100% guaranteed.

Many records will have been washed in warm water and inspected under a bright light before being at least partially played on a good quality sound system. Please note that I obtain vinyl from many sources, and those items that have been stored and un-played for years are likely to have some minor background noise for the first few plays until remaining ingrained dirt is removed by the needle. A second or third wash is recommended. There are rare records and there are very rare records and then there is the stunningly rare Nervous Norvus' comic take on the antics of men and animals when the female of the species gets her hands/claws on you! This is great fun and wonderful to break the ice at a party! If you can do the "Ape Call" you'll certainly attract attention! The B side is "Wild Dogs Of Kentucky".

This is one of the EARLIEST 45’S EVER ISSUED and came out on London Records in 1956, when I was just one year old! It has gold lettering on the labels. Nervous Norvus was actually Jimmy Drake, a Los Angeles truck driver, who was so shy he even turned down the chance to promote his songs at live bookings on the radio and even on the Ed Sullivan TV show. This disc was played to me at a very early age, and I always remembered it, but it took me almost 40 years to afford and then find a playable copy, bought from Stefan Baronowski at Norwich VIP Record Fair! Then, within weeks, another comes along, just like a no.18 London bus……………

Don't miss your chance now - it really is a hard record to find and my first copy is still in good shape even though I have replaced it. It is listed at £80.00 Mint in the 2012 Record Collector Guide, but as there is a replacement centre, and a very, very small amount of crackle at a few points on the disc, I will downgrade it to VG and list it at a real bargain rate of £28.95!

Payment is required no later than 10 days after the date of the auction unless you have asked for more time to make other bids. The more you buy, the less postage cost per unit you pay, but do please let me know what you are doing.

Ebay is my hobby – I am a full time Travel Agency Manager, and that business and my home life come first, so packing is normally done on Sundays and items posted by First Class only on the first Monday after the date of sale. If for any reason an item is delayed, you will be notified. The Post Office is responsible for delivery once the item leaves me, so depending upon where you live, allow five to ten days to receive the item (up to fifteen days if you are in Europe or up to 30 days). Please do not leave neutral or negative feedback or complain about slow receipt of goods. If you want the item on your doormat the next day, please do NOT bid for my records and then complain about non-arrival. I leave feedback (always positive) at the time of posting. RECORD COLLECTOR QUALITY GRADES    (additional qualifying remarks unique to me, in orange).

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. I will NOT use this grade unless I can personally prove it has never been played or is "still sealed" and been obtained from a reputable source. Be very wary of this description as small shrink-wrap machines are not that expensive to buy.

EXCELLENT:  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.   The majority of my sales are at this grade.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. If I sell a record at this grade, it will be clearly marked as such.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. Very occasionally, I might offer vinyl at GOOD on Ebay, but this will only happen where the item is so rare that it is worthy of sale in that condition. Sometimes the cover might only qualify as GOOD where the vinyl is at the very least VERY GOOD or even EXCELLENT.     

FAIR, POOR or BAD:   I will NEVER sell any record in a condition as low as this - these have already been consigned to the rubbish bin!
