Description
An original US pressing of Capital Full Dimensional Stereo release SP-8518: Nathan Milstein Performing Concertos by Mendelssohn and Bruch w/Leon Barzin cond. the Philharmonia Orchestra. This is a solid NM/NM copy. The outer jacket has only the slightest evidence of handling and wear w/an-off white back, sharp corners and fully intact seams throughout. The inner sleeve too is in fine condition. The vinyl is NM. I've done a complete play inspection of each side as well. Though I own a rather modest Audio Technica turntable, I have a fantastic Carver tube amp and high-end PSB speakers as part of my home set-up. At a rather strong volume this sounds superb. There is no surface noise; this plays flawlessly to my ear. I've recently acquired a small but wonderful collection of vintage classical and jazz pieces and will be listing a few more in the coming days, as I find the time to audibly evaluate each one. Please send along any questions you may have and thanks for looking. All International buyers please email for a rate quote to your country before attempting to purchase. Shown here are detailed scans of the outer jacket, inner sleeve and labels (including the matrix marks).
The matrix marks to the dead wax read:
SIDE 1:
'SP1-8518-D6' (in block letters) To the left of the label, at center, there is a stamped ampersand symbol: '&' To the right of the label, at center, there is what appears to be the stamped design of a building outline.
SIDE 2: 'SP2-8518-D6' (in block letters). Followed by a '#2' and "S1". To the left of the label, at center, there is a stamped ampersand symbol: '&' To the right of the label, at center, there is what appears to be the stamped design of a building outline.
I've tried to include the matrix marks in the scans of the labels. Please zoom in to see them in more detail.
