After 35 years of collecting, I'mputting a number of my great albums up for auction. This one is a rare one from1966. It's NapoleonXIV - "There Coming To Take Me Away." Today, in our PC world, you'd never get this record made. However,years ago, when people took themselves less seriously, the title song nearlymade it to number #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It hit #3 in the summer of 1966.Jerry Samuels was Napoleon XIV. He was a recording engineer and composer.
I've had this album in my collectionfor years and never opened it. Whenever I want to hear this hilarious song Ijust pull it up on youtube. Idon't grade anything as MINT because even still sealed records, after 47 yearscan have a few blemishes. This album,however, has been in a protective plastic cover for as long as I've had it andit's still beautiful. Here are the specifics:
The cover is beautiful. Though thealbum has never been unsealed, there is no ring wear. There is no writing oranything to diminish the looks of the cover.
The disk is still sealed inside thecover, so it’s safe to say there hasn't been a needle on it.
