THE GROUP " PEOPLE IN THE NIGHT / COLOUR BLIND " TREE 6 , NEW ZEALAND ...... By far one of the best rarest and most desirable psych-garage 45s to come from NEW ZEALAND , a-side was comped some years ago ,to the only compilation i know focused on the great NZ psych scene LIVE WIRE comp. From the 1st seconds of "People in the night " you understand how big this one is !! it starts with loud fuzz guitar riff and swirling creepin' farfisa organ with a 67-68 MOD UK PSYCH sound , with intense sophisticated drums, deep groovy organs and scorching-impressing fuzz guitar (here,it's full of it !! fuzz solo as well !!! ) .What i like in NZ scene and generally to OZ/NZ sound ,is the fact that it's a combination between the Uk sound of the time ( well cared production, phase , effects dandy fashion clothing ) and the more garage-wild-underground sound from USA ( the fuzz you'll hear here would you never hear it in a UK record ,only in US garage records ) , the mixture sometimes comes superb,like in this case , 5 stars quality MOD PSYCH here , if this was an UK band on small indie label like this one here ,we would talk for 200-300 uk pounds for sure , B-side is unscompiled in similar stuff , more into psych pop less to freakbeat , 1st time i see this one offered anywhere , amazingly rare , just one of those that you know they exist but never see anywhere!!!!! vinyl has many superficial hairlines-small marks , "people in the night " side looks VG ,other VG- , is used but has no deep scuff , plays with surface but no skipps or jumps or pops , ultra heavy vinyl plays loud , one of the heaviest 45's i have grabbed ,it's extremely heavy well deep pressed , As for pressing ,i cant be sure but indie labels in a land of 2.000.000 citizens at the time , i am sure it would be something like 300 maximum ..... So grab this chance since you might see another one in 10 years and more .......... Few words about me now, i used to collect for over 10 years now focused 100% in 60's beat/garage/psych/prog music , mostly 60's 45's ,but now i decided to sell the big part of it,so many more will follow ,almost all records since from my private collection will be sound graded as well since i know them all very good, this ofcaurse is much more important than the typical visual grading that the majority of ebay sellers do , since i was a collector myself i'll try to be as strict as i can on grading ,but keep in mind that 95% of my records are in really enjoyable condition and are keeper's copies for serious collections , postage would be 6$ worldwide, good luck and feel free to ask whatever.. I ACCEPT IMO,BIDPAY,CASH IN LETTER,PAYPAL .....
