Description
Up for auction is a very nice original pressing of the N.W.A. classic Straight Outta Compton, originally released on Ruthless Records (SL-57102) in 1988:
-Guaranteed original pressing, NOT reissue -Original silver Ruthless labels -Matrix reads:
SL-1-5-7102-2S 1-1 SL-1-5-7102-Z1 1-3 -Original high gloss finish cover
Condition: Cover is in very nice condition, still retains its original glossy shine. Has only light signs of wear and handling (see photos). Front and back have faint ring wear top middle. Seams are nice, no splits. Corners are nice, show some light rubbing. Spine lettering is legible. Spine shows small area of creasing and a slight cracking/crazing in middle (see photo). Overall, a very nicely preserved original, colorful and attractive. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Vinyl is very nice, still has its original glossy shine. No apparent scratches or scuffs, but under a strong light, some faint superficial hairlines show up from taking the vinyl out of the paper inner sleeve a few times. Has a few spindle trails but the spindle holes are not worn, indicating that this record has been played only a couple times previously but handled with care.
Most copies of this record you will find are thrashed, heavily worn--it's very rare to find one in this nicely preserved condition. One of the nicest copies I've come across. Increasingly hard to find nice original copies of this seminal classic.
Grade: Excellent (EX)
Combined Shipping:
Yes, I offer significant combined shipping discounts. Just ask!
International Shipping:
Because of unreliable postal services, buyers in France and Italy must pay for Expedited international shipping, which includes tracking and insurance. I've had too many records lost or damaged shipping to these countries. Also, I do not ship to Central or South America, or China.
How I Pack Your Records:
I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
100% satisfaction guaranteed, no risk buying. My 100% positive feedback allows you to buy with confidence. Returns accepted, no questions asked.
