The absolute rarity of this album is not to be underestimated. It hardly ever surfaces nowadays. This is an absolutely gorgeous slab of early quality Vertigo vinyl whisch is pristine!! Two to three plays at the very most!! Hauntingly beautiful songcraft!!! Ian Carr was the MASTER of well crafted progressive jazz!!! I have twentyfive years experience in grading. It doesn't get much better than this!!

HARDEST OF THE 'SPACECRAFT' (POST SPIRAL) NUCLEUS VERTIGO ALBUMS TO FIND

A CLASSIC JAZZ PROGRESSIVE LP

very near mint UK 1974 1st press record

the surfaces display blazing factory-fresh gloss

there are only one or two superficial traces not affecting play!!!

ELUSIVE PROGMONSTER!!!! VINYL IN A UNIQUE NM CONDITION!!!

!!!!AN IMPOSSIBLE FIND!!!GORGEOUS EX+!!! Two thousand copies of the regular LP were ever sold!!! This is SOOOOOOOOOOO very rare!!!!!

In all my years this is only the third time I have come across this absolute STUNNER. The rarity of this LP is not to be underestimated!!! Most of these will now be tucked away in major collections across the four corners of the Earth. Only 2000 are rumoured to be about. Rare ... anyone?? Sensational sound quality, NO skips or jumps. NO clicks, this is really a stunning heavy vinyl with a beautiful deep gloss. Only two very wispy hairlines to be seen. I am being quite fussy. Many sellers would grade this NM.  Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more in-depth observation. I am very glad to say that there are not any jumps or skips. Unbelievably as it may sound there is hardly any static background noise at all !!! Very remarkable for this 1974 vinyl!!!  Great songcraft, no wonder this album is now so sought after. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!!

Vinyl: NM . This is am unbelievably well preserved album. one of the top 5 I have had over the last year (I have had quite a few ...). The audio is simply spinetingling. I just had to listen to it again and I got totally absorbed in the beauty of Ian Carr's work.

Sleeve: NM. Heavily textured. Only the first batch had this wonderful sleeve. This is just in one word GORGEOUS!!! Totally looked after and as such the ultimate VAULT copy!!! No creases, NO edge wear, No tears , NO writing, not even any marks. Just a tiny nick on the pine bars it from 10/10.  It is just as it was when it was sold in 1974. The edges are deadstraight. The opening is the crispest you will ever see.

This  is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible!!!

Plain white inner.

Labels are NM.
